Research funding opportunities | MPS Matters 2025

Calling all professionals to take advantage of our funding opportunities for research at MPS Matters 2025 this June in form of a ‘Dragon's Den’-style pitch session and poster presentations.

MPS Matters 2025 takes place 27-29 June at the DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry and will be a community weekend with expert speakers and interactive workshops for people with MPS and related lysosomal storage conditions, their healthcare professionals, clinicians, researchers and members of the pharmaceutical industry.

Read about your opportunities for crucial research funding and please note that all shortlisted candidates must be able to attend MPS Matters 2025 in person on Saturday 28 June.

Dragon’s Den

  • Secure a grant of up to £5,000 for your research project into MPS or a related lysosomal condition (excluding Fabry disease)

  • Applications will be reviewed by the MPS Society’s Clinical and Scientific Advisory Committee (CSAC)

  • Receive a free conference place if you are among the final three shortlisted candidates

  • Pitch your research in front of industry professionals and engage with the MPS community who will vote for the winning presentation

Submission deadline: 14 April 2025

Poster presentation

  • Prizes for the top three posters: £100, £70, £50

  • Submit your abstract with a maximum of 300 words (title excluded)

  • We will prioritise submissions focusing on MPS or a related lysosomal condition

  • Applications will be reviewed by the MPS Society’s Clinical and Scientific Advisory Committee (CSAC)

  • Shortlisted candidates will be awarded a free conference place and have the chance to present their posters in a fast-paced poster blitz session

  • Receive expert feedback and share your research with our community

MPS Matters 2025 for professionals

An expert meeting especially for professionals will be held on Friday 27 June from 11am until 6pm and cover a range of topics such as airways, cardiac and orthopaedic issues and the latest advances in research.
