The MPS Society said goodbye to 2024 with a bang! What a fantastic year it was full of amazing community groups, individuals and companies raising vital funds and awareness. As we head into the 2025, it has not slowed down with so many people already signing-up to take part in running events, sports, and planning awareness week fundraisers. Let's see what everyone has been up to!
Chesham United Football Fundraiser
Our MPS fundraising team was out in force last weekend with the help of some brilliant volunteers shaking their buckets and spreading that all important awareness. It was great to speak to the fans of Chesham United FC and Enfield Town FC about who we are and what we do. We were able to raise a fantastic £590.18! We had a great afternoon and hope to be back in the future.
Shubhan's fundraiser
A huge thank you to Shubhan who has decided to take on a very personal fundraiser during his gap year in memory of his brother Shiv. We had the pleasure of joining Shubhan and his family at Chesham market for a cake sale. He raised an amazing £273.00 selling his delicious cookies, brownies and delightful slices of cake! He has also set up a Just giving page where he has raised nearly £3,000.00! Well done Shubhan, we look forward to more fundraising in 2025!
A big thank you to:
Jack Moon who took to the ring at the end of last month for his final bout to finish what he started in honour of Finley. He raised an amazing £1,995.00 in total for the MPS Society and we want to say thank you, you are a true warrior.
The Long Ashton Orchestra who performed this month at the Inner Wheel Club of Clevedon. Sheena Bagnall whose granddaughter has an MPS condition said 'The concert was wonderful. We raised well over £1,000.00.
The Haddenham Mummers who performed their infamous play at local pubs over Christmas raising over £500.00.
The Hampden Arms who raised £200.00 at their annual Christmas quiz.
Rake Garden Centre who did bucket collections over the Christmas period and raised £248.63 in honour of Maddi.

We are lost for words as you not only smashed our initial target of £25.000.00 but simply did it again a second time hitting well-over £30.000.00 In only one week, you raised an unbelievable total of £32.025.00!! 💙
