International MPS Awareness Day on 15 May is an important date to highlight the rare and often unknown MPS conditions. Each year we celebrate for a week by raising awareness for these conditions and sharing the stories of those affected.
MPS Awareness Week
11-17 May 2026
It has been another spectacular MPS Awareness Week! It was amazing to see so many fundraisers from bake sales, raffles, bucket collections, glitter tattoo stalls, golfing days, hiking and running challenges, birthday and wedding celebrations. Your incredible fundraising is approaching £12,600 and we cannot wait to share a final total with you soon, thank you so much!
Help give children and families the chance to live a rare life better
As he accepted the Patient Advocate Leader award, Group CEO Bob Stevens reminded us, that:
Rare diseases do not recognise borders and neither should support, research access or compassionate care.
This MPS Awareness Week, we are celebrating the strength and impact of coming together. When families, researchers, clinicians and industry join forces, they have the power to drive real and meaningful change.
